11 Year-old Mexican Girl Has Baby

An 11 year-old girl from Puebla, Mexico gave birth at the end of October and is still nursing her son at the hospital where he is recovering from pneumonia. Authorities are now investigating whether the girl was sexually abused. Um, duh. This story may sound outrageous, because it is, but I had a friend who worked for Planned Parenthood in the Rio Grande Valley back in the day. This sort of thing happened fairly regularly. I mean, at any given time, he was working on a case of some tween or other who'd been impregnated either by a 14 year-old or some relative. Sigh.
