Roberto Arango, the Puerto Rican senator who was busted posting sexy pictures of himself Grindr, has resigned. Arango still won't confirm — or deny — if he's the guy in the pictures but he's calling himself a "victim." Not a victim of being a closeted bottom who waits nude on all fours for an uncut, masculine top to bust through his door, but a victim of technology:
"I've been a victim of my own ingenuity and of technological advances that, upon falling in the wrong hands, can be transformed into something very harmful."
Oh and Arango thinks this whole thing was planned by the political competition:
"I affirm with the up most certainty that the controversy which Puerto Rico's senate and the city capital is currently facing is the result of a sinister maneuver orchestrated by my political enemies."
Right. Because not nobody has ever heard of a closeted republican who cruises for gay sex, huh Phil Hinkle?
Anyway, Roberto goes on to say that he's basically resigning because he doesn't want to embarrass his family, who are not public figures, any more than what he already has. Here's Roberto's resignation letter in full [warning: it's all in Spanish]:
