Thalia Announces The Birth Of Her Son Matthew Alejandro Mottola

Thalia, who was expecting her second child from husband Tommy Mottola (age 61, we're just saying), had a son Saturday and named him Matthew Alejandro Mottola. She tweeted the news and later told her fans that she didn't know how to deal with the intense emotions of having a new son and losing her mom so close together:

"No se si mi corazon pueda soportar tanto amor y tanto dolor al mismo tiempo.1 amor gigantesco,y una perdida sofocante.Solo el tiempo y Dios," she wrote. "I don't know if my heart can withstand so much love and so much pain at the same time. One gigantic love and a stifling loss. Only time and God."

Thalia's mom died almost exactly a month ago. Her sister Ernestina Sodi was scheduled to marry the next day and subsequently held her wedding at the funeral home.
