If you ever needed another reason to give Eduardo Verastegui the side-eye, look no further than this video of Texas Governor Rick Perry speaking at a Los Angeles event Verastegui hosted for his pro-life non-profit Manto de Guadalupe. The event, which was to raise money for a women's health center in South Los Angeles, (one that presumably talks you into not having an abortion), featured Spanish-language speakers all day except for Rick Perry, who delivered his message in English. Perry has said he is considering a run for the White House and this speaking engagement, with a large, Latino, conservative group, is roundly thought to be the official dipping of his toe in national waters.
After being introduced by Veronica Castro (a woman who maybe should have considered an abortion. WHO SAID THAT?), Perry went on to tell the audience that President Obama is responsible for making America an "exporter of abortion."

The short of it is that, like their stance towards Planned Parenthood, Republicans don't want to give federal aid to NGO's if there's the chance those NGO's could provide abortion services.
