The second Mexican Miss Universe ever was crowned last night in Las Vegas, Nevada. Twenty-two-year-old Jimena Navarrete of Guadalajara replaces Venezuela's Stefania Fernandez and becomes the eighth Latina Miss Universe in eleven years. Navarrete previously held the title of Nuestra Belleza Mexico and Nuestra Belleza Jalisco. We imagine there was much celebrating last night in the country that can't catch a break these days. Navarrete beat out Miss Jamaica who won first runner up.
